Polishing your professional presence – interactive presentation

Storytelling is a great way to articulate the essence of who you are. By telling your story, you can build authentic and memorable connections with those around you. Perfecting the art of storytelling is a skill that can showcase your strengths and make you stand out from the crowd. The activities in this section relate to professional presence, interviewing skills, and networking skills.

Event details

  • Date –  Wednesday, February 5th, 2014
  • Time – 4.00pm – 6.00pm
  • Location – Big 4 Conference Centre, UBC Campus
  • RSVP – No RSVP required.  Space may be limited so please be sure to arrive early!

This session includes assessments, tips, demonstrations and skill-building activities to gauge how you may be perceived and to help you think about how to create an authentic impression that represents the true you.

This session is broken into the following components:

  • Be Seen: The story before the story (7 second impressions)
  • Be Heard: Communicating the “real” story of you
  • Be Known: Making your mark with authenticity

The BC Region team will also be visiting UBC campus to engage with business students in the main CPA Hall. Find them at their promo booth (Mon Feb 3 to Fri Feb 7, 11am-4pm).
