On April 24th from 1:00pm – 6:00pm PST PwC Vancouver will be hosting its first ever global forum on women and leadership. The event is part of “Aspire to Lead: The PwC Women’s Leadership Series,” which includes a number of programs and workshops hosted by PwC that are designed to provide college students with the tools to help them build their leadership skills.

The first event in the series will feature special guest speaker Sheryl Sandberg, Facebook’s COO and the author of Lean In: Women, Work and the Will to Lead and Lean In for Graduates. Sheryl will provide her perspective, and answer questions on the challenges women face when transitioning from campus to career. The event will be broadcast live from Facebook’s campus in California.

Tune in to a webcast of this very special event at the following link: http://www.pwc.com/aspire at 9:30am PST on April 24th.  In addition to college students, this webcast will be of particular interest to faculty and advisors whose students regularly ask for tips on entering the workforce, and will delve into some of the challenges students may face as they transition from campus to career.

While it’s targeted primarily towards female college students, many of the insights are applicable to any individuals who wish to enhance their leadership skills. You can read more about PwC’s commitment to developing the next generation of women leaders here.
