Welcome/Welcome Back – Summer Term 2 Begins on July 2nd – A few reminders to keep in mind…

Welcome to all new and returning DAP students starting or continuing with your studies in the program this term!

We just want to pass along a few key reminders as you get ready for classes next week.

  • Summer Session, Term 2 classes start on Wednesday, July 2nd
  • Please ensure you note the course withdrawal deadlines and registration deadlines for the term and make any changes you plan to make to your schedule by these deadlines.
  • Review your timetable on the UBC Student Service Centre (SSC).   If you have any questions about your schedule, please get in touch with our office.   Your schedule will also provide you with your classroom locations.
  • Review your course outlines, which will also indicate any required or recommended textbooks or course notes packages.  You can also create a personalized list of required/recommended textbooks on the UBC Bookstore website.
  • Final exams will be held from August 12th to 16th, inclusive.   The detailed schedule will be available by the end of July.  Until the final exam schedule is released, you should plan to be available between August 12th to 16th.
  • Student cards are available for pick-up at the UBC Carding Office, located in the UBC Bookstore.
  • Summer Term 2 student fees are due on July 4th at 4:30 pm.  Further information
about student fees can be found on the Student Fees page on myUBCDAP, including instructions for submitting payment and requesting exemptions for the U‐Pass, if you meet the criteria to qualify for an exemption.  If you are new to UBC this term (i.e. were not enrolled or did not pay student fees during the Winter Session – September 2013 to April 2014), you will not be eligible for the AMS/GSS Health & Dental Plan until September 2014.
  • You should now have access to the Career Options Online Portal (COOL).   If you have any difficulties logging in, please contact the DAP office.

We wish you the best of luck with your studies this term!
