If you’re applying for approved path jobs this year, you should know that firms will start to contact students who have been shortlisted for interviews at 11:59 am on September 14th and interviews will be held from September 15th to October 4th.

To help you prepare for your interviews, the following resources will be available:

CPA Recruit Interview Training Workshop – September 14th, 4:15 pm to 6:15 pm
Will it be a phone, group, panel, conversational or structured interview??? Will I be meeting HR, a Staff Accountant, Manager or Partner??? Often the firms will let you know but chances are you will experience many of these interview styles along the way to landing a CPA Articling position. The best approach is the Scout’s motto, “Be Prepared.” Come and learn how to anticipate what will happen during your CPA recruit interviews and prepare how to respond in all situations.

CPA Interview Coaching Appointments – September 14th to 19th
DAP Career Coach, Russell Garrett, will be available for 45-minute in-person coaching appointments for interview preparation from September 14th to 19th (9:30 am to 6:30 pm each day, except for September 14th when appointments will be available from 9:00 am to 3:15 pm)

You’ll be able to sign-up for these appointments on COOL under the Appointments tab starting on Tuesday, September 8th.

Please note these appointments are reserved for students who have been shortlisted for interviews. Any additional appointments made will be cancelled. Students will be permitted to schedule a maximum of one coaching appointment during this time .

Once the interview period is over, Russell will be available to meet with students for online appointments on all other career development related issues.
