May 1st – 4:15 pm to 6:15 pm – CPA Recruitment Application Preparation Workshop
After meeting Firm representatives in person at events and in person, the greatest impact you can have on your approach to the Firms is your application. The focus, content, layout, tone, personal branding and how you differentiate yourself in your application documents are all important. Discover the importance of each Firm’s intrinsic differences and plan to create specific applications which have proven to solicit a higher ratio of invitations to interview. Learn how to create a “hook” to attract reviewers and compel them to want to meet you, learn more about you and consider you as a candidate worthy of an interview.
May 28th – 4:15 pm to 6:15 pm – CPA Recruitment Interview Success Workshop
Learn how to make first and lasting impressions through what you say and do. The various types of interviews the Firms are known to use and why they use them will be highlighted along with best practices to prepare for every possible scenario. Anticipating firms’ expectations, creating “talking points”, preparing questions for interviewers and tailoring your responses will all be addressed so you can put your best foot forward. You will discover how to prepare for open-ended, behavioural, value-based and case-based questions to help you make the greatest possible impact on your interviewer(s). You will leave the workshop with tools for interview success along with strategies for follow up to protect the investment you made to secure them.
