If you are planning to participate in CPA Fall Recruit this year, you’ll want to check out the Fall Recruit page on CPA BC’s website. CPA has posted important information that you should know about Fall Recruit including Code of Conduct and a Calendar of Events for both the Lower Mainland and other regions (please note that this calendar only includes event dates and application dates and deadlines that apply generally to all students; events that are specific to DAP will not be listed here).
The DAP Student Club will also be hosting the CPA “Fall Recruit 101” Cram Session on May 19th. Registration for this session is now open on COOL, Please see below for further details.
CPA “Fall Recruit 101” Cram Session
Thinking about pursuing the new CPA designation? There are two ways to satisfy the practical experience component of the program: the experience verification route and the approved training office route. This means that students have total flexibility in where they gain their work experience – whether that’s with an organization or in industry or public practice.
If you’re looking for a full-time for 2016 don’t miss the CPA PEP talk hosted by the Chartered Professional Accountants. A representative from CPA will be on campus on Tuesday, May 19th to give students the inside scoop on landing an articling position during the 2015 CPA Fall Recruit.
Topics will include:
- General information about CPA, Tips for networking, how to put together an effective resume and cover letter, and students will be given a sneak peek at the 2015 CPA recruit calendar.
Details:
- Date: Tuesday, May 19, 2015
- Time: 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm
- Location: Henry Angus Building, Room 492

We will be having an additional CPA Cram Session on August 13th. It is not necessary for students to attend both events.
The RSVP on the COOL says 430 pm to 530 pm
Hi Carmen – there was an error on the COOL listing, which was originally shown as 4:30 pm to 5:30 pm, and should have been 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm. However, the workshop time has now just been changed to 4-6 pm. The listing on COOL has been updated to reflect this time change.
