Why did you decide to pursue UBC Sauder’s Diploma in Accounting Program (DAP)?

I knew I wanted to pursue my CPA in in the long run, and after hearing friends rave about DAP, I was sure it was the program for me. I was drawn to the networking opportunities and career guidance made available to DAP students that have helped me build my network and continue my professional development outside the classroom.

What has been your favourite part about the UBC DAP experience thus far?

For me it has to be my classmates. Being around other driven individuals who are heading down a similar path has helped me through the program. The collaboration and willingness to help each other was astounding.

What do you enjoy the most about your current position with Miles HR Solutions?

Having worked with DAP students in the past, Miles understood how demanding DAP can be, and allowed me to cater my work schedule around classes, exams and networking events. It’s this flexibility that has allowed me to excel within the program and work towards career goals, while gaining valuable work experience. Miles works to help people find roles that they will love and excel in. Being a part of a team with this aim has been very enjoyable for me.

The experience at Miles has been hugely invaluable in helping me achieve my goals. Through this role I have developed the tools to create, maintain, and grow professional relationships though my interaction with Miles’ clients representing a breadth of industries.
