Reminder – Upcoming On-Campus Recruitment Events Next Week with EY and KPMG

As a reminder, the following on-campus recruitment events have been scheduled for next week:

  • EY – booth in Henry Angus Building, CPA Hall on January 6th (10 am to 4 pm) and January 7th (10 am to 3 pm) – no registration required
  • EY – info session on January 8th, 5 pm (registration required to attend – now on COOL)
  • KPMG – info session on January 10th, 12:30 pm (registration required to attend – now on COOL)

Take advantage of DAP’s career planning resources with Russell Garrett starting in January 2020 .

On January 13th, Russell will be holding an overview workshop for this spring’s public practice recruit.  At this workshop, learn how recruit works and how to begin preparing now to give yourself the greatest chance at increasing your success. Leave with some concrete action items to begin learning about public practice accounting firms, connecting with firm staff and doing the important preparation needed prior to applying.

In addition, we will be offering our popular Planning Your Career in Accounting series of 7 workshops starting on January 27th. This workshop series will take you through each step of the job search process, tailored to careers in accounting, both in public practice and industry. On-Campus Event | CPABC Info Session – January 15th, 5 to 6 pm

Join Jessica Chan from CPABC on Wednesday, January 15th, 5-6 pm to learn more about the CPA program in detail. In one hour, all aspects of the CPA program including admission requirements, prerequisites, examinations and program structure will be covered in detail. The presentation will conclude with an open question and answer period.

Registration Now Open for CPABC’s Annual Case Competition 2020

Show off and refine your business acumen by challenging yourself and your teammates to think strategically and develop innovative solutions to real issues facing real businesses! The CPABC Case Competition is a business strategy case competition with two competition rounds. The Top 8 teams from Round 1 will be invited to the Final Round including an evening reception to network with CPA members across BC. Win cash prizes up to $2000!

There are no limits on the number of teams from each school. Teams of four must have at least two students who are in their 1st or 2nd year of studies, and teams of three must have at least one student who is in their 1st or 2nd year of studies. Students of all disciplines are invited to participate, no prior experience is required. See Rules and Regulations for detailed information.
