Enhance Your Resume with DAP’s Sage 50 Workshop on November 16th & 17th – Registration Now Open (exclusive rate of $200 for DAP students)

Gain a competitive edge and boost your resume with UBC DAP’s Sage 50 Level 1 Workshop on November 16th & 17th, providing you skills in accounting software often required to qualify for entry-level accounting positions.

The 2-day hands-on workshop, facilitated by DAP instructor Megan MacLean, CPA, CMA will give you the skills and confidence required to navigate Sage 50 software. At the Level 1 workshop, you’ll learn how enter business transactions such as accounts payable, accounts receivables, and payroll entries.

The workshop will be held at the UBC Point Grey campus, 9 am to 4 pm each day. The cost for each workshop is $200 + GST (an exclusive rate for DAP students, that includes a $30 discount from the regular course fee). Please visit the Registration page on myUBCDAP to register .

A completion certificate will be given to students who successfully complete the workshop.

Getting your career on track is something every DAP student needs to do! Whether you are pursuing CPA firms, planning on going through CPA Recruiting a second time or working in Industry, this workshop is designed for you. You will receive strategies about next steps on your pathway to your career goal. Hear from the DAP Student Club and the Alumni panel to learn what your opportunities will be and how others before you have secured careers. You will leave encouraged and inspired to take action for your own career success.

On-campus coaching appointments with Russell will also be available on November 18th.

To select a time for your coaching appointment – select “Coaching Appointment” from the Coaching & Calendar link on the left-hand side of the page and then “Request New Appointment”. On the search screen, update the date range to end on or after November 18th, select Russell Garrett as your coach and then leave all other fields blank to return all available appointments.

Reps from PwC’s China Sourcing Initiative (CSI) will be holding an on-campus info session on October 30th, 6 pm.

The China Sourcing Initiative (CSI) was launched in 2007 and is part of PwC’s Graduate Program for students studying in the United States and Canada who are interested in relocating back to Mainland China, Hong Kong or Macau to work for PwC China-Hong Kong after graduation.
