CPABC has launched new resources for post-secondary students!

The first is a new webpage outlining the Journey to Becoming a CPA. Please take a look at the information provided in this webpage, as it outlines what you can do, as a post-secondary student, to plan your journey to becoming a CPA and be ready for the CPA Professional Education Program.

CPABC Student Recruitment also has a new booking system where you can book an appointment with a Student Recruitment Officer aligned with your post-secondary institution.

Fall Public Practice Recruit is in full swing. Public practice firms are offering recruitment events and activities across BC. Learn about getting hired for summer internships, co-op positions, and full time jobs after you graduate for 2023. Read through these events and register here.

CPABC has updated the Public Practice Recruit 2022 Framework for the fall recruitment period (August to October 2022). All Lower Mainland firms adhering to this framework (BDO, Deloitte, EY, Grant Thornton, KPMG, MNP, PwC) have approved these new set of recruitment dates. The updated Framework can be found on our CPABC Post-Secondary Recruitment Guidelines webpage. If applying to a position offered by the firms noted above, in the Lower Mainland region, please review these dates and deadlines in this Framework.

CPABC hosted a fantastic CPABC Network Series session called ‘Why I chose CPA for my accounting career’ with two panelists. If you’re interested in watching and learning how resilience and networking are key in the journey to becoming a CPA, especially as an international student and/or professional in Canada, tune in here. This session will be uploaded to YouTube next week, and can be found at this link, under the Workforce Professionals & Newcomers 2022 list.

Career Week takes place in a hybrid format on Hopin and at the Vancouver Convention Centre East from September 6-8th! Accelerate Your Career by learning about the diverse and interesting career options available to experienced and aspiring CPAs Register to participate in virtual career workshops, employer info sessions, speed interviews, and to network with recruiters in-person.
