Join the UBC DAP Student Club executive team – now accepting applications for the 2022-2023 year

The UBC DAP Student Club is now recruiting for next year’s executive team. This is a great opportunity to build your network, develop your soft skills, and be the first to know what’s going on with public practice recruit and industry opportunities!


Available Positions: Vice-President, Treasurer, Events Officers (4), Sponsorship Officers (4), CPA Designation Officer, and Industry Officer (see https://ubcdapsc.com/new-events/2021/9/dapsc-executive-team-we-are-hiring for more information about these roles).

ELIGIBILITY:
Eligible candidates must be enrolled in DAP and actively taking courses in the January 2022 semester. Eligible candidates must be able to commit to, and successfully complete, the minimum duties entailed in their specific executive position for the duration of the hiring term (January to December 2022, with training of the next team in January 2023). Candidates who will have completed, or graduated, from DAP by May 2022 are ineligible to be considered for hiring. Candidates who will complete DAP by August 2022 are eligible, provided that they are able to continue with the position for the remainder of the year.

Please note: DAPSC Networking Events are held on weekdays during the evening, and occasionally will conflict with individual class times. However, it is expected, and required that DAPSC Executive Members are present when necessary.

2020 T2202 tax receipts now available for download

2020 tax receipts for DAP tuition are now available for download on the Tax Receipts page on myUBCDAP. On this page, you’ll find the link to access your T2202 form – select the “Click Here” link under the T2202 heading.

Your 2020 T2202 will include eligible course tuition amounts from the following terms:

  • 2019 Winter Term 2 (January to April 2020)
  • 2020 Summer Term 1 (May to June 2020)
  • 2020 Summer Term 2 (July to August 2020)
  • 2020 Winter Term 1 (September to December 2020)

Please be reminded that as per CRA policies, we are required to obtain your SIN to issue your T2202. If you have not previously given your SIN, you will see an option to do so from the page linked above.

Microsoft 365 Office Applications Now Available from portal.office.com

UBC IT is moving its O365 for Students subscription license from the UBC Software Portal to Microsoft’s portal.office.com on August 1, 2021.  If you are currently using Office applications (also known as the Office 365 ProPlus package) under this license subscription, you will lose access to them if you do not switch over to the applications from portal.office.com by August.  
 
If you have a license renewal coming up for O365, you will be redirected to sign up for access to portal.office.com
